Forgotten FairMile talk Tues 30 April

Bill Nicholls is a local enthusiast who has been taking photographs in and around the FairMile for many years. He blogs inspiringly at forgottenfairmile.blogspot.co.uk. Bill will take us through a selection of his photographs with discussion of the history of the place and its development. Come and see what the Great Hall and the rest of the hospital used to be like and hear about the people who once lived here. Anyone who is interested in local history must meet Bill and see his material.

Walkers! River walk Tues 23 April

Leaving from Linden Homes sales suite at 2pm. Wear walking boots.

Our route will be down Ferry Lane and along the river for 45 minutes or so.

Wine, Cheese and Books

Date: 23rd April 2013

The Wine and Cheese evening is back for a second time on Tuesday 23 April in the cricket pavilion and we hope to run this monthly.

Soha is donating sets of books for International Book Day. We'll start the evening at 8pm with a half hour discussion of book clubs, how to run them, what works well, and whether to start one or more book clubs. Book lovers come at the beginning and get first dibs on the wine and cheese! Then we'll continue til late, all welcome.

Quiz night! Thursday 18 April

The Residents Association is organising a quiz night next Thursday in the Linden Homes Sales Suite. Bring a bottle to enjoy a drink with your neighbours. Form teams of up to 6 people and see how you go with a wide range of questions. Raffle prizes from Ray Parks Butcher, Four Teas Cafe, the Community Development Trust and maybe more! Raffle proceeds to the CMRA. Thanks to Emily Maggs and Antony Collins for organising it.
